Also why do you guys think that their Uncle Fifty left to Utica without coming back? And why do you think that Mattie always has a word of the day?
I think that Mattie always has a word of the day so that she can expand her vocabulary and keep learning new words to use in her daily speech/writing. I also think that it's a good way for her to keep learning about literature and be able to fulfill her other responsibilities at home at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why Uncle Fifty left to Utica without coming back, but there are a few possibilities. He could have found a job there that he had to take up, he could have died from doing a job there, he could have met a woman and married there. But I don't think he seems like the type of guy to marry...
I think Uncle Fifty might have decided to have a drink, and then another one and another one(you get the picture..) So then he might've gotten really drunk and got in the wrong train or something.

I think both, but I also think that he might not have even had that much money in the first place.
